Meet your hosts
We are Seth and Emily Britt.
Who in the world would have thought we would get the opportunity to create experiences by building homes out of shipping containers?! We built the OG Box Hop in 2018 as a place to escape with the family and hoped to rent it out on Airbnb occasionally to offset the expense of having a "second home.” This was the first home I (Seth) ever built and the first home Emily had ever designed. Emily came up with the name "Box Hop" in 2018, referencing the shipping containers (BOX) and a short stay (HOP).
After finishing the project in December of 2018, we realized a few things:
1. The process was a blast!
2. People REALLY (REEEAALLLLLY) liked it.
A few months later, we were getting scrappy trying to find funds for another build. The Boho Box Hop was completed in December 2019, and the rest is history. Since then..... What a ride! We have built the Hygge Box Hop (2021), The Overlook Box Hop & Roca Box Hop (2022), The Ellwood Box Hop (2023), and completed our Wedding Venue, @TheSeventyfiveVenue, in 2023.
