The Roca comes from the word “rock” in Spanish, and once you first set eyes on the place, you’ll understand immediately. You wind into the property and the canyon reveals itself gradually, and then there it is: the cabin tucked between two towering rock cliffs, as snug and unexpected as a secret.

THE SPACE
The Roca's deck is a guest favorite at The Box Hop. It’s suspended, and that's completely intentional. The hot tub sits out there facing the canyon, and whether you're getting a summer soak in or watching frost creep across the rock faces in January, the view never ceases.
When you decide to venture out, a couple of marked trails lead you out to a large cave and waterfall just around the bend from the outdoor deck. This is a Hocking Hills cabin with hot tub access, hiking, a cave, and a waterfall. Could you really ask for anything else?

During his "50 States in 50 Days" fundraiser for St. Jude, Ryan Trahan and Haley Pham chose the Roca as their Ryan Trahan Ohio Airbnb stop, staying with us right here in Hocking Hills. Ryan and Haley were surprised by the little touches throughout our fairytale Airbnb—the s'mores basket, the eclectic decor, the circular reading nook—and spent their stay soaking in the hot tub, exploring the waterfall, and taking in the views from our suspended deck over the cliffs.

THE AREA
Hocking Hills, Ohio
The Hocking Hills region sits on the Allegheny Plateau in Appalachian Ohio, primarily in Hocking County. The same ancient Blackhand Sandstone formation that shaped the high cliffs and narrow gorges across the state parks also shaped the canyon the Roca calls home. The geology is the reason any of this is possible. Who knew that a house wedged between two rock faces could be so elegant?

Getting Here & Property Info
GETTING HERE
The driveway to this unique Hocking Hill Cabin is a long gravel road winding through the canyon. During inclement weather, an all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. The driveway is maintained by a local company.
PROPERTY ACCESS
The home is accessed with a key in a lockbox next to the door. Contactless check-in makes arrival seamless at any hour.
PLEASE NOTE
The Roca welcomes up to 2 dogs. A $100 pet fee is due at the time of booking. We ask that you keep dogs off the furniture, don't leave them unattended, and clean up any waste.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Your 50% deposit made at the time of booking is non-refundable. Your full balance can be applied to booking one of our other houses and/or different dates if done more than 30 days prior to your stay. If you paid in full when you booked, a 50% refund will be given if the cancellation is made more than 30 days before your stay. The cleaning fee will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to your stay.

The Coolest Box!

Nothing like it in Hocking Hills
We've stayed at a lot of places in this area and the Roca is genuinely in a category of its own. The location inside the canyon, the eclectic decor, the trail to the cave and waterfall... we didn't want to leave. Seth and Emily have created something really special here.

A fairytale weekend
The whole experience felt like stepping into a storybook. The rocks surrounding you, the sounds of nature, the whimsical touches inside the cabin. We hiked to the cave and waterfall and soaked in the hot tub and genuinely could have stayed a week. One of a kind.

Perfect family trip
